The residual mix represents the average emissions intensity of electricity remaining on a grid after all renewable energy certificates (such as RECs or Guarantees of Origin) have been claimed. It is used in market-based Scope 2 accounting to reflect the emissions associated with unclaimed electricity consumption and is critical for accurate renewable energy reporting under RE100.
